I am a mother of 2 beautiful children, Tayler who is 9 and Clayten who is 6. I married to the most wonderful supportive husband Bob. Without his support Children of Tomorrow would not be able to be as successful as it is! I graduated from Mankato State University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Kindergarten. I knew I wanted to work with children since I started my first babysitting job. Over the past 10 years, I have been so blessed to have so many families become a part of our COT family! It’s amazing how many friends I have made and how much support I have found over the years. I love being able to watch their children blossom into such incredible little human beings! In 2007 I was approached by a land owner to build a learning center in the Waconia community. The decision took many months to make including some sleepless nights, long conversations and some tears. After long consideration, I decided to create my dream again and build an additional COT in Waconia.
As I reflect on my last 10 years of my early childhood career, I remember my first day as a director. Moving from a teaching position into Director/Owner of a childcare center was a smooth transition for me. The jobs are very different: different tasks and responsibilities. I was unsure that I was capable of doing it all-I am proud to say that I am capable. I am living my dream! |
